- Campgrounds
- Coopers Rock State Park is a very convenient place to get away from Morgantown for a while. It is perfect for people who want to find a campground in a beautiful, wooded area.
- Albright Campground in Albright, West Virginia, is a relaxing place off the beaten path, right next to wonderful Cheat River. It is a great place to go in the spring for the Cheat River Festival where everyone gets excited for another great river season.
- Backpacking / Camping
- If you are looking to get out of town for a while and want to backpack for a few days, you might want to consider hiking the Allegheny Trail. It starts at the West Virginia/Pennsylvania border near Bruceton Mills. It is 330 miles in length, but that doesn't mean you have to go that far. Do as little or as much as you want. Happy Trails.
